Venture Up began in 1983 as an adventure company and quickly switched gears to corporate team building to meet the growing demand for experience-based training. We were the first company of our kind, and if you google “team building companies” you’ll see an explosion of “team building companies” who followed our lead. We owe much of our continued success to our clients, the 250,000-plus people who have been part of the Venture Up experience. Diversity is our strength, in terms of the clients we serve, our staff and the range of programs we offer beyond what’s on our website. Company founders have traveled to more than 50 countries and shaped Venture Up to serve a cross section of cultures evident in multi-national firms as well as many smaller businesses today.

Our clients with offices in Anchorage include Apache, AT&T, Chevron, Conoco Phillips, Exxon Mobil, Halliburton, Marathon Oil, Shell, and Tesoro.

While we offer many programs on site and in conference rooms, our favorite team event venue is Alyeska Resort, 40 minutes from Anchorage. Alyeska’s reknowned ski resort is the gateway to fantastic hiking and mountain bike-only trails. As for meeting space? The sky is the limit.

Clients
About 80 percent of our team building business involves corporate clients, who prove that word of mouth is the greatest advertising. We also work with many government and non-profit groups; school districts, charities, and federal agencies, such as the FBI, U.S. Secret Service, and U.S. Special Forces.
